Jennifer Pfifer, Teacher
Ms. Jennifer has been dancing since the age of 3. She recently had the opportunity to dance in California and take hundreds of classes with choreographers Nika Kljun, Alex Little, Erica Sobol, Travis Wall, and many more. Her biggest accomplishment so far was able to sign with one of the eight dance agencies in Los Angeles. Being sent to multiple auditions, the most extreme being the Madonna 2015/2016 tour kept me motivated to continue being true to myself.
Jennifer is now back home attending Western Michigan University’s Department of Dance, and could not be more thrilled to also be a part of the Excel team. Since the age of 8, she has trained with many choreographers including Calen Kurka and Chris Hale who created the dance company *:pushing progress* in New York, along with Chicago choreographer Angelina Grima who toured with Kanye West and is featured in Justin Bieber’s movie. Jennifer received her first dance scholarship to London from the convention New York City Dance Alliance when I was 9 years old. She loves teaching and inspiring students to be the best they can be!
Ms. Janelle found the world of dance at the age of 13 when she started taking classes at Excel. She was part of three performance teams, as well as XLR8. Some of her favorite memories came from performing at places like the Harlem Globe Trotters and Disney World! Previous to the ballet slippers and tutus, Ms. Janelle was a highly dedicated gymnast for 11 years, and has been teaching young kids gymnastics for 3 years now. She is a certified gym teacher at Kids Gym as well and she finds so much joy in combining the gracefulness of dance with the thrill of tumbling, and is so happy being part of Excel's family.
